Stephen Stills wrote this song during the Vietnam War era. It speaks to the deaths of those who lost their lives in that war, as well as the deaths of some of those who protested it.
Brian recalled the song after an ICE agent in Minneapolis murdered Renee Nicole Good.
It was recorded in one take, using unsophisticated equipment (the Voice Memo app on an ancient iPhone 7, through the onboard mic) and remastered at DistroKid.
The track will be available soon on all of the major streaming platforms. In the meantime, you can hear the unvarnished version in this YouTube video.
